Inward Goods Festival is a music and arts festival bringing together local and Naarm-based artists to showcase our creative landscape in the foothills of the Mooranappa Forest.

As a not for profit, Inward Goods is fueled by the community it attracts. It works to provide an inclusive space for these people to connect with and develop arts/cultural practices, whilst giving back to the local community in which it is rooted.

Through years of participation in the Naarm and Gippsland music scenes, Inwards Goods has become part of a wider music and arts community, developing connections with various cultural groups, artists, and musicians.

This festival is a celebration of these people.

Inward Goods promotes inclusivity. Diverse community groups are all embraced and represented, no racism, no sexism, LGBTI friendly. It is our goal to make everyone feel welcome and respected.

MENU

SUSTAINABILITY

To help us keep things sustainable and minimise single-use packaging during the festival, local Avon Landcare Group are coming out with Wash Against Waste to provide a communal wash up station powered by volunteers.

Freestone Press Gallery

Regularly serving as the home to Gillian Kline’s Freestone Press Printmaking Studio, Gill’s generosity has allowed a remodelling of the space to include visual art, projections, décor, furniture and music. We aim to honour the purpose and aesthetic that the building symbolises; the creativity that it houses and outputs.

Curated by Shay Bakar, this space provides the warmth of a house party, simple in its design: to create a space for dancers, friends, lovers, and party goers of all types to express themselves to music and revel in art designed to please the senses.

The festival offers a carefully curated program of workshops and immersive experiences, all aimed at nurturing your inner self. Cultivate mindfulness by practising yoga on our purpose built yoga deck or perhaps you'll find your peace of mind whittling a spoon at one of our wood carving workshop’s hosted by Art COLT. More details on workshops and sign up to come!

Activities

What to expect

2 dreamy nights of music and art set on a natural amphitheatre among the golden gums. Be visually and audibly thrilled, while you tip back a delicious cocktail (or cup of tea) at the Forest Stage. I hear there's a wine tasting in the Freestone Press Gallery… don’t forget to check out the installations along the way.

The festival welcomes you into its ambient spaces that encourage participation and interactivity, where the boundaries between the natural and the digital blur.

From interactive art installations powered by recycled batteries to puppets, performance art and cinema. Workshops, nature walks, peaceful meditation spaces, and serene nooks nestled amidst lush greenery offer you a place of sanctuary for introspection.

Sit down, put your feet up, be entertained.

Making the most out of the Forest's secret nooks, we've hidden a cinema in the midst of the madness, park yourself on a rug and catch a short film by some local talent - bush style!

More activities, art installations, and workshops to be announced.

Full activity schedule will be published in the Goods Book.

Environment

These forests have a rich history. The original inhabitants of the area were the Braiakaulung people who utilised the vast forest resources for canoes, shelter, food, clothing and toolmaking. Mountain Grey Gum, Stringybark, Red Box and Sivertop Ash rule the landscape, home to a wide variety of native fauna.*

The freestone creek water holes lie only minutes away from the festival site.

This party will be a safe space for all but we need you to help it stay that way. RESPECT EVERY INDIVIDUAL AND THE LAND!!!! We want this party to have as little impact on the environment as possible.

  • Car Parking Passes:

There are car passes available for purchase online, but there is a strict limit on how many we can sell.

  • Van Parking Pass:

If you plan to sleep in your car/van, please purchase a ‘Van Parking Pass’ instead of a ‘Car Parking Pass’, it costs the same, it just gives us an idea about how much room we need to reserve!

NOTE: If you do not have a car/van pass you cannot park on the property, so please ensure you have one ready to present upon arrival, and keep an eye on your emails for further transport memos.

  • Car-pool:

We would LOVE you to carpool wherever possible – at least 2 people and preferably 3 per car. It’s better for the planet, and long drives mean the best chats. If you don’t have a buddy to ride with (yet!), then jump on the Facebook event and offer your car seat / find a ride there.

Amentities

  • Fresh water and toilets are available on site.

  • No showers, except there is a swimming spot a 5 minute drive away - bring ya togs.

  • There is a fire pit that may only be used with CFA permission on the day

  • Gas cookers are prohibited in campsites due to fire risk. However, there will be a camp kitchen with gas cookers and barbeque. All we ask is for a gold coin donation to cover gas. Any additional funds will be donated to the CFA, so don’t be shy!

Guide

A 'festival guide' will be made available for ticket holders prior to the event. This will outline further details to ensure you have the best festival experience.
