ML Hall is the new solo project of Matthew Leigh Hall, self-taught singer-songwriter, musician and producer. Hall wears many hats and with a healthy curiosity, has spent several years traversing genres in varied roles with local outfits Sunnyside, The Tropicals, Don Glori and more recently, Immy Owusu. Hall brings together a myriad of influences in his own style, blending soulful vocals with introspective lyrics against a scenic backdrop of rhythmic loops and synthesised soundscapes. Much of Hall's practice stems from catharsis, emotional regulation and managing mental health. With his own challenges with anxiety, Hall aims to normalise conversations around mental health, raise awareness and cultivate connection through lived experience. In parallel to playing in bands, Hall composes long-form, ambient soundscapes for contemporary-urban dance developments. Therefore, the realisation and catalyst of this project is to combine the two different modalities. Hall is curious to explore what meets at the intersection of these approaches to music. 

And as a long-time friend of the Inward Goods family, is much looking forward to debuting live with his findings.
